Hawaii Women's Soccer Ends Season with Loss to Cal Poly in Big West Tournament

The University of Hawaii women's soccer team's season came to an end on Sunday with a 2-1 loss to Cal Poly in the opening round of the Big West Tournament.

Cal Poly took the lead early in the match, scoring just 41 seconds into the game. The Mustangs added another goal in the 39th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Hawaii got on the board in the 67th minute when junior midfielder Mia Foster scored on a header off a free kick from junior defender Jacey Jicha. However, Cal Poly was able to hold on for the win and advance to the semifinals of the tournament.

The Rainbow Wahine finished the season with a record of 5-8-1. This was their second appearance in the Big West Tournament since joining the conference in 2012.
